5 Shows to Binge in your Spare Time

It's been 3 full weeks in isolation and I find myself still adjusting to this new normal we're experiencing right now. I've gone through phases of watching a full season of something in a day to rearranging my whole pantry and closet depending on how I'm feeling. Sometimes, I even do both at the same time. A little background noise, especially when cooking is very comforting to me since it's something I typically do by myself. These are 10 of my favourite binge-worthy shows that I turn to after a long day, busy week or just because:

I was devastated when I found out that unlike the last two, season 3 would not be available in Canada on Netflix. However, this show is filled with glamourous drama that I prefer to binge because each episode leaves you wanting more. I know before the new season is added to Netflix later in the spring, I'll be rewatching this, again. For those of you who grew up with 90210 (the remake) and Gossip Girl, you'll feel at home with this one.

Vanderpump Rules

I was unaware of how big of a rock I was living under until I finally started watching this. This is currently my favourite reality show because it reminds me of The Hills but is relevant and way better than the reboot. I'm glad I can understand all of the references mentioned in the books and podcasts I've been enjoying, finally.

Made in Chelsea

Okay, this one took me a while to get into but once I did, I could not stop. I started watching this because I had already rewatched The Hills and The City and wanted to stay within that realm. Stephanie Pratt was in this for a few seasons so I thought I would give it a chance. It took me a few months to get through as there were 18 seasons of pure gold. Unlike other reality shows, the production is next level and hard to miss, so you may have to adjust to the cheesy bits as I did. Now, I live for them and how hilarious they are. If you're looking for something to commit to for the long haul, I would definitely recommend this one!

I really don't know why I'm putting this here. I don't like this show, yet I managed to watch both seasons over the course of a weekend when each of them came out. I thought that Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell were going to be great (and they were) but this isn't something I would usually watch. It's an elevated mix of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl that left me with a pit in my stomach the whole time. If you don't mind watching really twisted things, this one is all you.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Once I watched Vanderpump Rules, I needed to know everything about Lisa Vanderpump. I love that woman. Naturally, once I finished that show, I transitioned to RHOBV. I tried watching the Vancouver version of the franchise years ago and could not get into it so I was reluctant. However, I really took a liking to this one as there were many familiar faces throughout the series. I've started the New York series now but I think this one will always be my favourite.

Have you also been binging shows more than usual? Let me know what shows you've been hooked on!

PS. I put all of the season 1 trailers for each show so there weren't any spoilers. You're welcome 😉.
