Not long ago, being eco-friendly was associated mainly with being an animal-loving tree hugger. However, caring for the planet has never been easier. In fact, most products on the market are innovative and chic, making the transition to a conscious lifestyle a no-brainer since there are so many cute options as incentives.
Here are some of my favourites that I use on the daily:
Reusable Water Bottle
To me, a water bottle is non-negotiable. Whether I am working out or just out and about for the day, I always carry a water bottle on me. I love this one because depending on what my plans are, I can trust that this bottle will keep my water hot or cold for hours.
This set of utensils is great because keeping the set together is so simple. I keep these at the office so that I am always prepared whether I pack my lunch or get in on the delicious lunch delivery of the day. This way I do not have to worry about single-use plastics that come with most to-go options. Chipping in on large condiments to share also cuts down on accumulating a collection of plastic utensils and random packages of sauces.
Having a cute lunch bag makes such a huge difference in getting hyped about packing your own food for work. If you do not have access to a communal fridge, or space is limited, I would recommend opting for an insulated one that you can keep at your desk.
I got a flat of them from Canadian Tire but most supermarkets and stores in Canada carry standard Mason jars. These are great for smoothies, salad and soups and general food storage. I like storing dry goods in Mason jars because it makes finding things I need in my pantry a lot easier.
I like to keep a straw with me at all times so that I can avoid using plastic ones that get tossed after I am done with them. It is nice to see that some places offer paper straws now but they are not my favourite as they get soggy if you're a slow drinker like me. Glass straws are my go-to as they are easy to clean and you can find a lot of options for your beverage needs.
